Smoke Showing
Volume 1

2nd Alarm
Livernois & West Vernor
March 16, 2005

This fire occurs in a one story commercial building used as a Flea Market.
Upon arrival, firefighters find heavy smoke conditions with fire venting
from under the eaves in the middle of the structure. It appears several
fires have been set within the building. At one point, firefighters are forced
to evacuate the building when it looks as if the roof might collapse.

4th Alarm with Level 3 Hazmat

This fire starts in a manufacturing plant that produces products for the automotive
industry, made from complex plastic compounds. Box alarm units don't hesitate to
call for the 2nd alarm, as they encounter heavy smoke and fire conditions upon arrival.
Soon, a level 3 Hazmat is ordered. Exposures are a problem as fire quickly
spreads throughout the building.
